Fire Agate Pendant
Fire agate is a rare form of agate found in the southwestern United States and Mexico.
Fire agate can be red, green, gold, and blue-violet. It requires skillful work to cut fire agate in order to maintain its iridescence, and generally, the grain of the stone dictates the shape of the cut (which is why it is not found in mass-produced jewelry).
I worked with the shape of this stone to create pendant. It is a hollow form of fine and sterling silver. It is about 2 1/2 inches long, about 3/4 inches at the widest point.
