This is huge! I just found out that I have been invited to participate in 2013 Heard Museum Guild Indian Market and Fair.
The Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market is “a world-acclaimed festival that draws nearly 20,000 visitors and more than 700 of the nation’s most outstanding and successful American Indian artists.”
To say that I’m excited is an understatement!
The fair is happening on:
March 2nd & 3rd, 2013
The Heard Museum
2301 N. Central Avenue
Phoenix, Arizona 85004
From the Heard Museum’s Website:
Experience one of the Southwest’s largest and most prestigious events: the Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market.
This year’s theme: “Weaving Worlds with Wool,” a celebration of the weaver’s art. The Indian Fair features more than 700 top American Indian artists. Visitors get firsthand access to artists and can view and purchase handmade, authentic work by the best jewelers, sculptors, painters, potters, weavers, bead workers, katsina doll carvers and basket makers. Fair weekend also includes music and dance performances, demonstrations and Native foods, as well as full access to the Heard Museum’s 12 exhibit galleries. Indian Fair & Market is the museum’s largest annual fundraiser. Admission includes the festival and museum admission.
Also, the Indian Fair & Market features some of the best American Indian and indigenous entertainers, musicians and dancers, including legendary performer R. Carlos Nakai (Navajo) and the R. Carlos Nakai, William Eaton & Will Clipman Trio.
