Big thanks to NANAI (Netherlands Association for North American Indians) for inviting me to speak and show my work at the 40th Anniversary celebration of the organization. It was truly an honor! Also, gratitude for the kindness, generosity and hospitality to all who I met in Holland.
Thank you!
I will be sharing more about my trip to the Netherlands with everyone once I have had a chance to process the journey and recover from jetlag!
Holland is a beautiful country — I love the canals and the bicycles and the architecture — I am looking forward to going back!
I’m proud to announce that I am donating a piece for silent auction to the 18th Annual Night for Life Gala 2013 – Illuminating the Path – Fundraising Event for The Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS. The center focuses on HIV/AIDS prevention, wellness and related research.
The Gala is a Black Tie Event happening at the Montelucia Resort and Spa on Saturday, May 11th. It looks like it’s going to be a blast—a glamourous and exciting event for a worthy cause! Last year’s gala was sold out and was a huge success.
To buy tickets and for more info about the event, visit The Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS website. You can click on a link to purchase tickets or a table for the event.
The item I am donating is very similar the Trinity necklace I made a few months ago. Brushed copper and silver with pearl that may be worn three different ways! Very sweet!
Signature-style carved silver cuff. This piece is stunning – one inch wide and carved with organic, flowing lines in polished sterling silver – reflects light beautifully.
An instant classic. Bold, natural, gorgeous!
This cuff fits a medium wrist. Hand-carved design.
I’ve created twenty-five bracelets for this edition. Each piece is hand-signed (engraved) and numbered. I am donating number “one” of “twenty-five” to the Heard Museum today.
This weekend (March 2 & 3), I will be participating in the Heard Museum Guild Indian Market and Fair. This is the biggest Indian Market in Arizona – featuring top Native American artists from around the country.
I made these pins for the Yuma Conference this weekend. Every year they have a pin swap – it’s much more fun than handing out business cards! And it has been a nice break from preparing for the Heard Museum show next weekend (March 2nd).
The smaller “cup” has a pin that slides through the larger “bowl”, and fastens in the back. The bowl is about an inch tall and 3/4 of an inch wide. I am pleased, and making some in silver as well!
