55th Annual Heard Museum Guild Indian Market and Fair ~ I’m in!!!

This is huge! I just found out that I have been invited to participate in 2013 Heard Museum Guild Indian Market and Fair.

The Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market is “a world-acclaimed festival that draws nearly 20,000 visitors and more than 700 of the nation’s most outstanding and successful American Indian artists.”

To say that I’m excited is an understatement!

Experience one of the Southwest’s largest and most prestigious events: the Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market.

This year’s theme: “Weaving Worlds with Wool,” a celebration of the weaver’s art. The Indian Fair features more than 700 top American Indian artists. Visitors get firsthand access to artists and can view and purchase handmade, authentic work by the best jewelers, sculptors, painters, potters, weavers, bead workers, katsina doll carvers and basket makers. Fair weekend also includes music and dance performances, demonstrations and Native foods, as well as full access to the Heard Museum’s 12 exhibit galleries. Indian Fair & Market is the museum’s largest annual fundraiser. Admission includes the festival and museum admission.

Also, the Indian Fair & Market features some of the best American Indian and indigenous entertainers, musicians and dancers, including legendary performer R. Carlos Nakai (Navajo) and theĀ R. Carlos Nakai, William Eaton & Will Clipman Trio.

I’m in! 36th Annual Pueblo Grande Museum Indian Market

I am very excited to post that I will be participating in the 36th Annual Pueblo Grande Museum Indian Market, hosted by the Pueblo Grande Museum Auxiliary.

This is a juried show, so I am very excited to be invited to participate.

It will be held at the Pueblo Grande Museum and features top American Indian artists with paintings, sculpture, jewelry, baskets and much more!

The weekend includes a variety of music and dance performances, artist demonstrations and traditional American Indian foods.

Saturday, December 8 – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Sunday, December 9 – 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Admission to the Market is $5 and includes admission to the Museum with free admission for children under 12.

The Pueblo Grande Museum and Archeological Park is a National Historic Landmark and an accredited museum with the American Association of Museums, and offers a unique opportunity to learn about and enjoy the prehistoric and historic cultures of the Valley of the Sun. Pueblo Grande Museum and Archeological Park is a section of the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department and was donated to the City in 1924 and a museum opened on the site in 1929.

The site features three galleries, a theatre with an award-winning introductory video, and an outdoor interpretive trail. The trail contains the prehistoric ruins of the platform mound and ballcourt of the Hohokam culture, replicated housing, canal systems, and interpretive agricultural garden.
