Beautiful blue sky turquoise emerges from earthy hand-hammered silver in this gorgeous piece. Soft play of light flickers on the surface of the silver while the attention is drawn toward the turquoise in the center.
May be worn alone as a single pendant or with beads.
Modern usage of the classic hollow form shadowbox design. Very contemporary.

Turquoise and Silver Shadowbox Dangling Earrings
I really enjoy making shadowbox pieces. Ever since I made shadowbox cufflinks I have been loving the technique! This is my own take on a classic Native American style.
These earrings are gorgeous and dramatic. Though similar, each earring is unique, as the stones are different and the form is hand-fabricated.
These are about 1 and 3/4 inches long, 1/4 inch deep, and about 3/8 of an inch deep at the base.

Reticulated Silver Hollow Form Necklace
This necklace has seven hollow pieces of reticulated silver strung on a hand-woven chain of 500 individually fused links. The top two pieces fit together forming the clasp of the necklace.
The necklace measures 21 inches. The hollow forms are approximately 1/4 inch thick.

This piece is a hollow form hand-carved disc. It is about the size of a nickel and a quarter inch thick. Instead of using a bell, the chain for this piece runs through the body of the pendant.
One side of the pendant has bevelled edges (craters) in the carvings to cause a rippled surface to refract light, and on the other side, the carvings are flat. This pendant may be worn to show the textured side or the flat side. The photos below show examples of both sides, as well as the thickness of the piece.
I can recreate this pendant to be any size – a larger design could be very dramatic. Of course, this one reminds me of the moon!
