Traditional Native American shadowbox design with a twist.
Hand-crafted hollow form brushed silver sets off glossy sky blue enamel. Holes along the side of the pendant allow the necklace to show through the actual pendant.
A one-of-a-kind modern, playful piece!
Approximately 2.5″ long by .75″ wide, .25″ deep. Shown here with a 16″ 7-strand silver omega necklace (a separate item form the pendant). Hand-signed on the back by Matagi Sorensen.
Another one of my “Parent and Child” pieces, this necklace is comprised of two highly polished silver and copper shadowbox beads. The copper is reddened by heating to a very high temperature, and depending on the angle and the lighting, may look purplish maroon to a deep orange red.
The beads may be worn together, or separately, allowing for three different looks.
Signed on the back. Entirely hand-crafted and one-of-a-kind hollow form.
Om, the symbol of the Sound of All Creation, is embodied in hollow form in this pendant. Highly polished silver reflects all light and colors around it.
Light enough to wear while practicing yoga! May be worn as a single pendant or with other beads. The necklace goes through the piece so as not to interrupt the flow of the design. The omega necklace shown is not included with the bead.
5/8 inch diameter, 1/4 inch deep, shadow box design. Signed on the back.
Another tao bead, this one made with polished silver and polished copper. The copper is reddened by heating it to high temperatures, the process yields random deep shades of red, purple and rust.
May be worn as a pendant, or strung with other beads.
This is a hollow form shadow box design. Hand-crafted. Signed.
Faceted peridot compliments fine brushed silver in this piece. The chain runs through the bead so as not to interrupt the circle.
Peridot is a gorgeous bright yellow green stone that reminds me of the lush freshness of young leaves in spring. A light, airy piece. Metaphysically, peridot is connected with prosperity and the heart chakra.
May be worn as a small pendant, or strung with other beads – as you please.
5/8 inch in diameter. 1/4 inch deep. Signed. Hollow form, shadow box, hand constructed.
This pendant is made of silver and red garnet. I love playing with organic shapes. This piece mixes traditional Native American hollow form shadowbox design with a throughly modern shape.
Mod! Groovy! Very mid-century early 60s feel.
The back of the garnet is left open for more light to pass through.
Approximately 2 inches wide, 2 inches tall, a little less than a 1/4 inch deep. One of it’s kind. Signed on the back.
The carnelian in this pendant is very vibrant and translucent. I’ve created the piece so light can pass through the stone. The stone appears to change depending on the light — sometimes it looks like it’s on fire, and sometimes it looks like a hot coal. There is a small cloud in the stone as well, which makes the stone look almost stormy — if not smoldering.
It reminds me of the Tucson sun at dips over the mountains at dusk – just between the light switching from golds, to reds, to violet. A fleeting, magical time of day.
This a shadow box hollow body pendant using a hand-fabricated process. The pendant is one-of-a-kind. I have been having fun lately working with the almond/shield shape. The shape is very appealing on the wearer. It may be worn with a turtleneck, or a low-cut blouse or dress.
Carnelian is a good first (root) and second (sacral) chakra energizer – which means it is good for vitality, abundance, and libido. It is also said to help with creativity and is sometimes called “the artist’s stone”.
